What a wonderful visit we had to Combermere Barracks on Tuesday. Blessed with glorious weather the children all walked to the barracks and were treated to a whole host of activities. They learned about all things old and new in the museum, tried on a range of army uniforms, tested their skills on instruments, watched a farrier at work, saw the soldiers training the horses (and fed some of them!) and came right up close to some army vehicles. After a busy morning they all sat down for a picnic lunch to regain energy to walk back to school. Weary legs were all forgotten when we stopped at the park en route for a play before the end of their school day.  We would like to thank Mr Peter Storer and his team of servicemen and volunteers for all their help and support. Everyone had a wonderful day!
