We looked at some of the tribal celebrations in Africa. We made our own jewelry and instruments and had some fun celebrating together.
We enjoyed learning about Africa and have explored making pancakes from the story we were reading.
Year 2 worked together to build English countryside and African countryside scenes and English city and African city scenes. We noticed the differences and similarities. Can you think of any things that are similar and things that may be different?
Year 2 enjoyed a lovely day at Whipsnade Zoo this week. We loved all the different animals and explored the different habits in our workshop session. It was amazing to stroke and see lion, zebra, bear and racoon skins. We even stroked a brown rat called Atti.
We have been using mirrors to find and count lines of symmetry. Help us at home to spot symmetrical things/objects.
This term we have been starting the week by taking part in dance PE lessons on a Monday morning led by our dance coach Sarah. It has been lots of fun.
